Keeping it in the Family: StrongMail Improves Email Deliverabilty for MyHeritage.com
London, UK – 26th January, 2009 – MyHeritage.com, the world’s fastest growing family-focused social networking site with 29 million members, has increased its email delivery rates, created new member services, and improved customer satisfaction levels by deploying StrongMail’s dedicated platform for marketing and transactional email.
StrongMail increased MyHeritage’s email deliverability levels by ensuring the company’s emails are always structured and delivered in line with evolving ISP requirements – making it less likely that emails are identified as spam and relegated to junk folders. StrongMail was able to achieve this because its platform is supported by a team that works with ISPs around the world to understand changing volume and content controls. This information is regularly fed back to the software that sits at the heart of StrongMail’s solution, and the updated information is used to ensure maximum email deliverability.
StrongMail has also enabled MyHeritage to personalise email-based member communications – providing a quick, friendly and welcoming joining process. It also ensures that the same degree of personalisation is included in email responses to customer admin queries (such as password reminder requests), and member-to-member messages. This level of personalisation means that MyHeritage can now provide its members with a tailored family newsletter each week – a service that would have been almost impossible with the previous email delivery system.
In addition, StrongMail’s reporting function tracks the delivery of each message, recording all aspects of MyHeritage’s email correspondence, from initial delivery status through user response and notification of message bounces. In one instance MyHeritage’s customer service team were actually able to get in contact with a site member, tell him that the company’s emails to him were bouncing, and then explain how to fix the problem from his side.
