United Against Email Abuse
StrongMail Systems is actively engaged with the following industry organizations to curb abusive and fraudulent email practices while preserving use of the channel for legitimate communication and commerce. We are committed to continuing these efforts to ensure the long term growth and vitality of the channel, and so all users of email can unlock its potential.
The Anti-Phishing Working Group(APWG) is an industry association focused on eliminating the identity theft and fraud that result from the growing problem of phishing and email spoofing.
The organization provides a forum to discuss phishing issues, define the scope of the phishing problem in terms of hard and soft costs, and share information and best practices for eliminating the problem.
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is the largest trade association for businesses interested in direct, database, and interactive global marketing, with about 5,200 member companies from the United States and 44 foreign nations on six continents.
The DMA shapes the way that organizations apply direct/interactive marketing methods to all marketing, sales and customer service activity. Our mission is to encourage the education, growth and profitability of our members and their adherence to high ethical standards.
StrongMail Systems is the first technology vendor to join the Email Experience Council (EEC), a new organization who's mission is to enhance the image and celebrate the ROI value of email marketing. This manifests through the proliferation of email and digital marketing best practices, trends, cutting edge technologies and the demonstration of applied success. The EEC is committed to conducting a broad series of email initiatives for a variety of organizations that highlight the positive impact and importance of email as a critical and viable marketing tool.
StrongMail Systems was the first technology vendor to become a member of the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC), an association comprised of over 75 leading companies that have united to fight spam while protecting the delivery of legitimate email.
The ESPC - whose membership provides volume mail delivery services to an estimated 250,000 clients - is currently working on solutions to spam and deliverability concerns through a combination of legislative advocacy, technological development, and industry standards.
The Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) is an independent non-profit coalition of worldwide carriers and technology providers. MAAWG is dedicated to solving messaging abuse by working along three initiatives - collaboration across operators, best practices technology, and providing an industry voice into public policy.
Shop.org is the online division of the National Retail Federation, who's mission is to help its members significantly improve their online and multichannel retail capabilities by addressing the evolving opportunities and issues related to the Internet and integration with other retail channels. Shop.org accomplishes this mission via information-sharing events, teleseminars, and research that is widely recognized as the most authoritative in the industry. More than 450 leading Internet and multichannel retail brands are Shop.org members.
